Frequently asked questions
Can I download GIFs from X?
Yes. X stores GIFs as short videos, so they are saved as MP4.
Can I download private videos?
No. Only public videos can be downloaded. Private, age-restricted and login-only videos are not supported.
Is it legal to download videos?
It depends on the video and where you live. Downloading is fine for your own videos, for content that is in the public domain or has a licence that allows it, and when the owner gives permission. Downloading copyrighted videos without permission may break the law and the site’s terms of service. You are responsible for how you use this tool.
